The Russian Army has acknowledged that between Saturday and Sunday, Ukrainians have fired four M-30 missiles from the US missile system HIMARS, where one of them hit a high school in Macau, Donbas, in which the Russian mobilized reserve had been sheltered.
The attack occurred shortly after midnight on January 1. And yesterday's attacks by the Russians, fearing kamikaze on Kiev and other cities, were a kind of revenge.
Pro-Russian separatists have told Russian media that four missiles were fired, where one of them directly hit the school and an extremely powerful explosion occurred.
Russian officials had initially said that of the four missiles fired by HIMARS, three had been destroyed by antiaircraft protection and that only one had hit the school.
But images posted on social networks show that Russian antiaircraft protection had not reacted at all and that the four missiles have hit the front targets and that the last was the most powerful.
The data for the number of Russian soldiers killed is not known correctly, but according to some telegrams inside the school facility were between 50 and 100 Russian soldiers, and others claimed to be over 500, and members of Wagner were among them.
Interestingly, the school was located no more than six miles [10 km] from the front line. It is reported that the attack occurred as a result of the Russian carelessness, and that Moscow authorities are seeking accounts from the superiors who had sheltered Russian mobilized soldiers in the facility. /Telegraph
