Under the commemoration of victims in Germany, Holocaust survivor Rosette Kats is expected to speak before the German Parliament.
German Parliament President Bärbel Bass will open the special meeting, in which German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is expected to participate.
This year's memorial ceremony focuses on people who were persecuted by the Nazis because of their sexual orientation or identity.
On January 27, 1945, Red Army soldiers have released survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.
The Nazis have killed more than a million people there, mainly Jews.
In addition to the killings in this camp, the genocide committed against Jews during World War II, known as Holocaust, has resulted in the systematic murder of some 6 million Jews.
That date, January 27, is marked in Germany as Holocaust Memorial Day, since 1996.
