Swedish activist travelled to western Germany on Saturday (January 14th) to join locals in their demonstration against the destruction of the village of Lützerath to pave the way for an expansion of the coal mine.
Police say this is the second time Greta is moved by authorities this week. As part of the protest, dozens of climate activists had climbed a main street in Germany's western town of Kilni and a state government building in Düsseldorf.
Activists also occupied a giant digger in another coal mine in the western part of the country as part of Tuesday's demonstrations and joined a protest march near Lützerath, Oranews broadcasts.
Some activists who participated in the demonstration ran toward the open Garzeiler mine, while a protester was able to enter the mine. Other protesters clashed with police near the mine, and officers used sticks and pepper spray.
A spokesman for the local police force Aachen confirmed that Greta was part of the group of protesters who attacked the end of the mine.
