Today with great pain Kosovo commemorates the 45 martyrs at Recak Massacre.
January 15th 1999 marks one of the most secular events conducted by Slobodan Milosevic's regime.
The event knocked on the international community's conscience, reflecting the brutality of Serbian military-police power.
OSCE Mission Ambassador William Walker then saw with his own eyes and experienced the horror caused by Serbia.
He had declared that he had no words to describe this act.
I unfortunately have no words to describe my personal indignation or that of all those who were with me in the place of what might only be considered an indescribable cruelty”, he declared.
And today 24 years after Kosovo is free and independent, thanks to the blood of martyrs and innocent and defenseless civilians, Recak has a special place in Kosovo's glorious history.
In honour of the signing of this date, President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Chief Vice President Glauk Konjufca will pay their respects at the Memorial Memorial Memorial Memorial Memorial.
This event starts at 10:00.
Meanwhile by 11:00, state leaders will participate in the memorial ceremony at the House of Culture in Shtime.
The establishment of the common crown in memorial with the presence of the Kosovo Security Force ceremonial platoon and honours at the memorial cemetery are also on the agenda
