Recak massacre survivor reports horror: They have left them without eyes and hearts, with no head

The survivor of the massacre, Aziz Beqiri, lives with memories of terrible images of dead and massacred bodies. He confessed on the morning of January 15, the day more than 40 civilians were killed.

“You have been removed by heart and lungs”, he says, as long as he shows how the bodies of children, women, old men on the Code of Babyshi.

He remembers the morning of January 15th and says what his eyes have seen is a horror.

January “15 has been a tremendous horror for our country, it has become an unprecedented massacre, and even before that date they have tried to provoke us and attempt to enter, they have wounded civilians, but on January 15th they killed 44 civilians. Around 6:45 p.m., we were surrounded, followed by a ceasefire after Ramadan (the holy month for Muslims) and three days before Bajrami, on the big night that happened. They killed in every neighborhood, and these 29 people have entered with a house they've taken, they've thrown them into the yard, they've been physically violent against them, they've been exacerbated and then they've told you to come out and escape the KLA. When we're surrounded, they've entered the police station on one side and they've entered every neighborhood practicing violence, we've got people who've taken away your lung heart”, he relates.

On that same day, Azizi points out that they did not know exactly what the number of those killed in Recak is and that other survivors had gone to the mountain. He relates how troops slaughtered.

Well, on the first day, we called them as kidnapped 17 people, 13 injured, because we didn't know what was done, there was no evidence of what happened, everyone had fled to places to save. Then, on the 16th, we've been looking at the mountain without any injuries, so there's about five people we've been out looking at the terrain, and when we're out, there's a friend of mine standing in front of me and I told him if you're meeting me, because we're tired and I'm afraid that I'm always going to be going through. He called me and asked if there was anything and said they killed everyone here. I went to them and told their friend to get his notes and report them to the guy who was in charge, Fehmi Mujota. We got the names, there's people from my casino that I didn't even recognize as they massacred them with their eyes and hearts, and it's behind the headless... We took the notes and left them, even though they said Serbs were coming out again, but we kept going. When we're out of the mosque, an observer's fear and he said if you know what the situation is like, because even before that happens, we've had meetings with observers every day, how many populations are withdrawing and showing them the situation after asking... All day long, there are observers, journalists and diplomas. Then came a pleasure to gather the bodies in the mosque at 16 and bury them on the 17th and ask for Petrova's help, and help us, we have covered them all night with a towel to bury them with 17”, he adds.

It demands justice for all residents of the village, who were brutally murdered 24 years ago.
