Rama: Vuciq and I have totally different views on Kosovo issue

Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq and he always have completely different views on the Kosovo issue. For me, Kosovo is a free, democratic and sovereign state. I think that while things are progressing, things are changing. Things are moving in the right direction. Easy, but they're moving. We once had no communication and it was impossible to imagine that Serbs and Albanians could be at the same table. So it's going to take time, it'll take time, but that's okay”, Rama told Montenegrin television “A Plus Tv”.
Rama also spoke of President Vuciq's statement at the recent World Economic Forum at the Economic Forum in Davos.
I read President Vuciq's recent statement from Davos, and I think it was highly respectable given the way he expressed the need to move forward. Of course, in his peculiar manner of communication, but showed respect”, Rama commented.
As for the fact that there are good relations with Vuciqi even with Kurti, despite strained mutual relations, Rama said there are many attacks between the president of Serbia and the prime minister of Kosovo.
And people ask me how this is possible, but imagine if everyone looked white and black and everybody kept their positions and nobody spoke to anyone. Things would not improve. So it's always better to talk to people, try to understand the reasons, present your arguments”, he said, broadcast Telegragraphy.
Rama stressed that Western Balkan leaders should work harder towards improving political situations, even though, as he said, the Western Balkans have never been in a better position than today.
“will never be easy and I don't expect it to become easier. I think we all need to prepare for it to become more difficult because things are getting more complicated in every way. We must work hard, try to work harder, not lose faith, keep going, and never forget where we are. The Western Balkans have never been in a better position”, Rama said.
Asked what it means for the region that Montenegro has for the first time a prime minister who is a national Albanian, Rama said not only is he the first Albanian to be prime minister of Montenegro, but he is also the first prime minister.
“The prime minister who does not really hesitate to say he is Albanian or he is, because he believes and acts on the basis of his belief that he is a citizen of Montenegro and the approach of the Serb community. As an Albanian, the way he handles some unresolved issues is bold, but above all it is to be admired because he does not have a gap between what he says and what he does, which is not very common in politics”, he said.
