Russia's President Vladimir Putin has been repeatedly perceived as a man who is very concerned with his public image.

From playing ice hockey and steering to driving military vehicles to riding horses and fishing with bare breasts, Putin has worked hard to cultivate his perception as a tough leader, writes Skynews.

And in a country in which manhood is apparently a very precious feature, the last photos of the president to be highlighted are probably surprising to most people.

Putin paid a visit to the Lomonosov Research Club in Vorobyovy Goriy yesterday on Russian Students' Day and posted properly for a photo beside a number of students.

But on this visit, the Russian leader had chosen a pair of shoes that seemed to add several inches to his length.
