“Here is preparing an extremely difficult step for the Serbian side”, he said in the APA interview.
Petritsch said he was quite optimistic with the latest Franco-German plan for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
“has actually reached the point where things will actually change”
According to Petritsch, whose company has performed lobby services for the Serbian side, Serbia's president has realised that now is the time to move, while at the same time he (Vuchic) has increased the pressure to move even Kurti, whose steps are now expected.
He said the issues could be postponed forward when Europeans join the Americans.
“turned out once again there is progress when Europeans and Americans unite and this is the case now”, Petritsch said.
Petritsch was a special delegate to Kosovo in 1998-1999, the EU's chief negotiator in the Kosovo peace talks in Rambouillet and Paris (1999), and then High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina (1999-2002).
