The Ministry of Internal Affairs will inform you that in late January, it is expected to begin supply material. In that case, the Ministry of Internal Affairs expresses regret over the created situation and requires understanding from all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, until the settlement of this matter”, it says in response.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has recently linked a contract worth 4m euros to a German company for supply of such material.

Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla has addressed a request to Germany's state, demanding that Kosovars be allowed to enter Germany with the expired passport.

The motion is said to be that newborn babies in Germany by parents with permission to stay in Germany who have flown to Kosovo for passport RKS to be presented with these documents: permission of the German residence of one of the parents who travels with the infant, the German baby's birth certificate, the Kosovo birth certificate.

Svechla has demanded that these measures be applied by June 2023, or earlier if the issue of lack of identification documents is resolved.

Because of this, a number of Kosovo citizens cannot be equipped with new passports or renewed them in the expired term, said the request.
