At a meeting with United Kingdom special envoy for the Western Balkans Stuart Peach on Thursday, Osmani has said Kosovo institutions are committed and committed to peace and security.
“President Osmani noted that Kosovo continues to be co-ordinated with international partners for addressing security challenges and in this context has called for greater involvement of Great Britain as a key NATO member and a historic Kosovo partner. While announcing the recent developments in the country, Lord Peach, President Osmani has stressed that Kosovo is the ongoing constructive party in relation to dialogue with Serbia, but that the Serb side through Kosovo's destabilising efforts try to shift the focus from dialogue. In that spirit, President Osmani has demanded that against Serbia's destabilising tendencies, the international community take a unique stand condemning such actions and making no equal of parties when it is clearly known who is the aggressor”, the Presidency's announcement of the Osmani-Pech meeting said.
Osmani has said that in northern Kosovo the law is being challenged by criminal gangs developed by Serbia's leadership and by gangs on the US and Great Britain blacklist.
“This is why President Osmani stressed that it is under the responsibility of Kosovo institutions in co-ordination with international partners to ensure the rule of law, peace and security equally throughout the Republic of Kosovo and for all citizens indiscriminately”, the report said.
