Happy to be hosted in private audience by Pope Francis of the Holy See.

I introduced the pope with our determination to cultivate and further promote peace, harmony, and coexistence among people as the values of our people, over which our reports with the Holy See have been cultivated and preserved for nearly two thousand years. I especially thanked the Holy Father for his care of Kosovo and thanked him for his decision of the first five years so that the Apostolic Administration could raise him to the level of the diocese. It was also a special pleasure to share with him Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic orientation views and our country's progress towards that goal.

The further deepening of reports with the Vatican and expanding co-operation in many areas are our joint orientation. Kosovo's goal of recognition by the Vatican contributes to this direction and further advance our century-old reports.
