These include hundreds of armed equipment and additional assistance to the Ukrainian air system.

The last aid includes 59 Bradley war equipment and 90 armoured Stryker transporters, the US Department of Defense said.

Recent aid includes HIMARS missile systems, NATO air protection systems, thousands of artillery shells, and 2,000 rockets, the Department of Defence has said in part.

In total, the United States has earmarked $27 billion in aid to Ukraine since Moscow started the war in February last year.

Western allies have also offered weapons worth billions of dollars to Ukraine.

After concerns that Russian forces can regroup and launch a major attack in the coming weeks, Ukraine is demanding more help to fight the Russian invasion.

During his trip to Washington, in December of last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has told the US Congress that aid for Ukraine is investment in democracy and is not charity.

Russian President Vladimir Putin calls the war “special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.

The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.

As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes.
