The offer of former FBI agent with Russian and Albanian oligarch is mentioned as another Kosovo politician

US authorities have arrested Charles McGonigal a veteran of the FBI who had worked there for 22 years and retired in 2018. Two counts bear him. He is allegedly working with a Russian oligarch sanctioned after retirement, and the second charge is that he has hidden [...]
McGongal has handed over his passport and is currently banned from any international trip.
The prosecution claims McGongal on several trips abroad did not report them to US government forms. These include a meeting with Albania's prime minister, a Kosovo politician and several other people, writes CNN.
At a meeting, prosecutors claim McGonial urged Albania's prime minister to be the cautious “about providing oilfield drilling licenses in Albania for leading Russian companies”.
The former Albanian intelligence employee who paid $225,000 had financial interest in the government's decision on contracts.
