The former UN Secretary of Kosovo envoy Kai Eide has remembered former president Ibrahim Rugova on the 17th anniversary of his death.
The former Norwegian diplomat says he has very good memories from his first meeting with Rugova in 1995 until the sad day of conveying the procession on that cold day.
On the other hand, he says Rugova was impressive and inspiring in his calm, dignified manner.
So many beautiful memories from my first meeting with him in 1995 until the last sad day, walking into that bitter cold in his funeral procession! A man so impressive and inspiring in his calm, dignified manner. Kosovo deserves its rightful place in the community...”, Eide wrote on Twitter.
