NATO comes up with announcement: KFOR completely removed barricades in the north

On Thursday, mission NATO, KFOR, completed the removal of several vehicles that were blocking roads in northern Kosovo, through the deployment of engineering units in the “Duda's Queen” and Serbovci”, the NATO-published communique reported.
It reportedly dismantled barricades that had blocked northern roads since December took place according to KFOR's mandate in Kosovo of HINA.
This was carried out in line with KFOR's mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to provide secure environment and freedom of movement for the benefit of all communities living in Kosovo. This is done after the December 28th decision to remove barricades located in northern Kosovo, in December”.
NATO says removing barricades took place by avoiding incidents.
The gaping of barricades followed with intensive efforts by NATO allies and the European Union to reduce tension, with key support from KFOR and the Euex mission. The output of recent roadblocks was carried out in a fast and secure way, avoiding incidents and other risks to local security”
In NATO's announcement, KFOR reportedly has the capacity to stay in Kosovo, to provide needed security.
“KFOR stands alert and has the capacity and personnel to continue implementing its mandate on a daily basis, contributing to Kosovo's syguia and stability in the Western Balkan region”.
NATO also declares support for the EU-mediated dialogue, considering it the main platform for finding solutions to establish peace and security in the region.
