The Health Ministry has come up with a response to the scandal at Vushtrri Hospital, where three surgeons are suspected of being corrupted by taking money from patients to conduct operations. The MSH has pledged that after receiving official information today from the Vushtrri Hospital, that the three surgeons are being investigated by the prosecution, the following days will take measures under the law.
Regarding the case filed in the media in the case of the Vushtrri Hospital, the Ministry of Health through the SKKUK Board, today afternoon has accepted the official announcement from the Vushtrri Hospital, the Shekih Zajed quite recently, three surgeons are being investigated under suspicion of corruption. The paper has published four videos featuring three surgeons -- Isuf Zekaj, Ekrem Sefiu and Arsim Latifaj. We remember that Zekij is a member of the USKKUK Steering Board appointed by the Kurti Government.
The fact that Zekiaj is a member of the Board is not mentioned in their reaction, and whether measures will be taken for his dismissal.
The case was initiated in the Kosovo Police by journalist Bujar Vitija on October 3rd of last year, and investigations into surgeons has confirmed the prosecutor of the Fetije Bajrami case at the Mitrovica Constitutional Prosecutor.
