Their departure was not that there was no decline in years, but rather the same found different forms to take the streets of Europe but even farther away.
Major visits from Kosovo to foreign countries were among the young, who in most cases found a new job, made a family reunion or simply settled to someone who enabled them to stay outside Kosovo, thus looking for a job or study opportunity.
From the Swiss Embassy in Kosovo has become known that the number of citizens who have applied for visas this year by October is 38 thousand and 341.
“38,341 until October 31st 2022”, the Swiss Embassy told the news.net.
Of the nearly 39 thousand applications totaled at the Swiss Embassy, the embassy has enabled visa equipment to nearly 34 thousand Kosovars.
Exactly from the Swiss Embassy, 33 thousand 804 visas have been issued, until October 31st, 2022.
From the Swiss Embassy have also announced that there were 36 thousand and 484 short-term visas under visa applications known as “Schengen”, or which up to 90 days in half a year.
These included family visits, tourism, or even business trips.
“36, 484 short-term (Zenenline) to 90 days in half a year (family/friend visit, tourism, working trips)” is said to respond to the embassy.
The same is said to be 1,000 and 857 long-term (international) visas for attitudes more than 90 days, family reunions, studies or jobs.
“1,857 long-term (national visa) stays for more than 90 days (family, study, work)”
And in 2021, there were a total of 19 thousand and 737 Kosovo citizens who have applied for visas under the Swiss Embassy.
“19,737 in 2021”, told the embassy's response.
Of the nearly 20,000 applications, the Swiss Embassy issued a total of 17 thousand and 90 visas for Kosovars in 2021.
Despite the large number of citizens who are equipped with visas, citizens' demands to move from Kosovo are still high.
Otherwise, Kosovo citizens continue to be the only ones in the Balkans without visa liberalisation.
The inability of visa-free travel to Europe has often made Kosovars even more indignant with the European Union.
The next hope for Kosovars within visa liberalisation continues to remain 2024.
