A Kosovo citizen named Tefik Sejdiu was arrested Sunday in Serbia, while waiting at the crossing point between Serbia and Hungary, but the same has been released after Serbian authorities had confused the 25-year-old with another person.
Sejdiu's family have told Klan Kosova that he was released after giving a statement and proved he was not the person wanted by Serbian police.
During the day, a named citizen, Bleton Ademi, has written on his Facebook account that it is a person named Tefik Sejdiu, who, he announced, was arrested by Serbian police agents at the Serbian border, Hungary.
Former Kosovo diplomat Melza Haradinaj- Stublla has reacted after reporting that Serbian authorities arrested and later released the 25-year-old from Kosovo, Tefik Sejdiu, whom Serbian police had confused with another person.
Haradinaj- Staubla, through a post in her Facebook profile, said the Kosovo government should raise the issue of Albanian arrests as an urgent topic in dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
Serbia should not be allowed to pretend to be a regional co-operative state anymore, because it continues not to comply with agreements reached through the Berlin Process specifically for free movement in WB6 signed just a few months ago!”, it wrote.
The former minister said Serbia should provide responsibility in dialogue for the lists of warrants issued against Kosovo Albanians, citing the case of Nezir Mehmetaj, a former KLA fighter who has been held prisoner since January 3rd 2020.
