Today, on the Day of Genocide Memorial against Albanians in Kosovo, civilians killed 24 years ago in the village of Recak are remembered with candle lighting in “Square. Skenderbeu” in Pristina.
Numerous citizens have been attached to this activity in honour of Kosovo genocide victims.
The chairman of the “Genocide Centre in Kosovo-opening “, Bardhyl Mahmuti, said that the day of commemoration of genocide victims has a large number of activities that have been undertaken as a “genocid centre in Kosovo -- open wound” to mark this important event in people's history.
Serbia's “State not only does it not recognise the genocide crimes it committed in Kosovo, rather applies a logic to permanent denial. This continued logic of the Serbian state to deny crime and genocide and bring to justice the entire chain from the command head to the executions of justice our wound will remain open and we are obliged to raise voices as much as we have power, because it cannot be the worst crime that has occurred in the late 20th century with the Kosovo Albanian people”, he said.
Mahmut said mobilization this year is much more successful than previous years. /kp/
