The LDK says that at this meeting “will once again confirm support for the EU-brokered dialogue process, with full involvement of US”.
The LDK's “Orriments for a final, legally binding agreement, and with mutual recognition at its core, remain unchanged”, the LDK says.
In terms of association, the oldest party in the country “estimates that this issue is the competence and constitutional responsibility of only the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, in the first place, of the Government”.
“Constitutional costs and responsibilities have no alternative, so the LDK, in its opposition role, scans how to exercise them. The opposition cannot assume the responsibilities of the majority, nor of the government of this majority. Therefore, participation of state institutions in this process is the irreplaceable necessity”, the LDK communiqué says.
The LDK calls on the Kosovo government “not to hide behind populist accusations against the opposition, but to exercise its responsibilities as a majority and address this issue in compliance with the Constitution and Kosovo laws, as well as in close co-ordination with our allies”.
