At a media conference, Kurti said the US and EU states should put additional pressure on Belgrade to accept such an agreement.

Kosovo is a normal state that has marked major steps in the last two years. We have institutional stability. Being a normal country means that we have normal relations with our neighbor. There is a need for an agreement that normalises relations and this should have mutual recognition at the centre. I believe this is possible because I believe in the power of the EU and the US to make additional pressure on Belgrade. They have enough power to pressure in Belgrade to have normal relations with such an agreement, which would eventually make mutual recognition”.

Meanwhile, for statements by the Serbian president that nine states have lifted the decision to recognise Kosovo's independence, he said they never did.

The “neither of the claims said in Belgrade has been confirmed by MPJ”.
