Kurti: The plan to exchange territories has failed, but the idea is dead.

The head of the Kosovo government, Albin Kurti, in his interview for Al Jazeera has also been asked about the idea of exchanging territories that former President Hashim Thaci and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, have discussed. Kurti has said he's sure that Vucinic has homesick for those times, but the exchange project [...]
Kurti has said he is sure that Vucinic is nostalgic for those times, but the territorial exchange project has failed, however, says the idea is dead.
Kurti adds that the exchange of territories will not happen since it is a formula for war.
I'm pretty sure that the president of Serbia is nostalgic for the time being. That means the political territorial exchange project has failed. But again, the idea is dead. But homesickness is a feeling we can make progress with. The exchange of territories so happens, the exchange of territories is the formula for war”, Prime Minister Kurti has added.
He has further said ethnic borders are solutions. But according to him, what is necessary is states that have normal reports and democracy as well. When he says that, Kurti stresses that the problem lies in Serbia as an autocratic state linked to Moscow.
You can never have perfect ethnic boundaries. There will always be people who think they're on the wrong side. What we need is the Republic having normal reports and democracy with them. Democracys fight each other. The tensions we have with Serbia are because we are a democratic country and Serbia is an autocratic regime with ties to the Kremlin”, Kurti has said of Al Jazeera.
