The Kosovo government has earlier announced that it has allowed the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church to visit Kosovo before next Christmas.
At the end of December, Kosovo did not allow Porphire to enter Kosovo, saying that “visita will be able to be approved only after the Serbian Orthodox Church has convicted, respectively, of being distanced from the actions of KOS members who, entering the Republic of Kosovo illegally, are giving open support to criminal groups in the north of the Republic of Kosovo, which are responsible for barricades located there”.
The patriarch has not asked permission to enter Kosovo, but was told Kurti is allowing him to come after Minister Nenad Rassic's request.
