At the request of the American Embassy, representatives of state and opposition institutions will meet today in a discussion on the Association of Serb-run municipalities.

Opposition party elected ones have confirmed attending the meeting. They will also be joined by representatives from the presidency, Prime Minister and Parliament. Civil society also attends the meeting. Prime Minister Kurti has not been invited.

The invitation to the US Embassy meeting, this meeting initiated by Ambassador Jeff Havenier, was made public a week ago. From the Embassy, the embassy announced that they are calling for a meeting of experts from the political sphere in Kosovo, leaders and representatives from the society to discuss a “issue of importance”, the foundation of association.

“We are inviting a group of dievers of civil society leaders, government officials, political leaders and diplomats to discuss this issue of key”, the embassy for Radio Free Europe said.

Although their own leaders will not be present, all three opposition parties have chosen from a representative who will send him to this meeting, which will be held at the US Embassy headquarters in Kosovo.

spokesman PDK's Faton Abdullahu has confirmed that Memli Krasniqi himself will not be able to go, as he will be visiting the US, but that he will delegate a senior representative from the party.

Given that Haradinaj is currently standing for a visit to the United States, an AAKA representative will be selected as well.

Today, it was also announced by the LDK) that a representative from party structures will attend the Association meeting.

Attendance has also been confirmed by the Konjufca office of Kurti, Osman.

Ilir Krycelli, chief of Glauk Konjufca's cabinet, will be the representative of the Parliamentary at the meeting for Association called by the American Embassy in Pristina, to make the money tomorrow.

This has been confirmed for Reporter by Ilir Krickey himself, today during the day.

“Po i will be at a meeting”, said briefly, for Reporter.net, chief of the Konjufca cabinet.

Representatives at this meeting, called by Ambassador Jeff Hovenier, and where it will be discussed about the establishment of the Serb Majority Commission Association, will also be established by the Kosovo Presidency. This was confirmed last week by Vjosa Osman media adviser Bekim Cupina. But that has not revealed who the representative from President Osmani's cabinet will be.

While part of this meeting will not be Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The latter himself has shown that he has not received such an invitation from the Americans.

“I am not invited to that meeting, but those invited should go to that meeting and discuss it”, the chief executive announced last week.

But unlike the first of the government, his two deputies were invited to this meeting. Emilija Rexhepi has confirmed the turnout, while even Besnik Bislim is expected to be there, though there is no official confirmation of it.

Government spokesman Perparation Kryeziu has also stated that although Kurti has received an invitation, in question of association, the Prime Minister Luan Dalipi's Chief of Staff has been invited by the embassy.

Also, that it will go to this meeting in Dragodan, Serbian Government Minister Kurti Nenad Rassic has announced.

Also present tomorrow are members of civil society and other experts. Among them, participants will be representatives from the Kosovo Democratic Institute.

Remember that foundation “ch-Ebert-Stiftung” and “The European Institute for Peace” have published today the draft status state for the Serb-based municipality Association.

Under this draft status, the association will be formed in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. The bill in question that has 18 articles is generally similar to the previous one that had resurfaced in public months ago. In this new draft, however, the association is renamed to “The Association of Communities in which the Kosovo Serb community is majority”.

A day before this meeting, through an authorial text, Derek Chollet, American State Department Adviser and Gabriel Escobar, US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, have again called on Kosovo to establish the Association of Serb-run municipalities.

Cholles and Escobar have also said that among America's most important goals in the Western Balkans is to help create conditions “for healthy, peaceful and sustainable relations between Serbia and Kosovo”.

“over the past weeks, along with France, Germany, Italy and the EU, we have travelled to Belgrade and Pristina to encourage both sides to accept the EU's proposal for the two countries to normalise relations, disrupt the cycle of crisis and confrontation, and move forward with determination on their European integration. This is the historic possibility that we believe both sides should use”, it says among other things in their text.
