The chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Economics (OEK), Lulzim Rafuna, has shown business difficulties during 2022 for Online Economics, where he said the lack of labour power has caused many businesses to re-organise and buy new work equipment to be cut off from the human factor.

He even stressed that many companies have employed workers from other countries like Bangladesh, Turkey, Nepal, but stressed that these workers are not meant to work long in Kosovo.

“2022, in addition to qualified frameworks, has presented a challenge even the lack of unqualified frameworks, many businesses have been forced to reorganize, forced to invest more in equipment that does not depend on the individual” factor, Rafuna said.

A lot of companies have started to think about it and have started to import labor powers from other countries like Bangladesh, Turkey, Nepal, but it is a challenge in itself because they are not aiming for those workers who are coming to work in Kosovo, but even until they find the first opportunity to leave Kosovo, what it means is that Kosovo is more of a transit country than a place that will last for them to work in”, Lulzim Rafuna for the Online Economics said.

Rafuna also spoke up not to publicise the wage cofficiency, where it said it did not enable them to come up with a statement or proposal on the salary issue.

“Yes, at the moment we don't have an official record of what the salary will actually be, and that doesn't give us the opportunity to do an analysis of how much it affected me in the wage issue it had to do with our consumption, so that the lack of cofitibility does not give us space to come up with a statement or with a concrete proposal on the issue of our”, Rafuna said.

In the end, he added that the economic crisis would have to be better managed by taking Albania as an example for creating a package for citizens and businesses.
