K Institute Director IPRED, Lulzim Peci, has said that the 2013 and 2015 agreements on the Association of Serb majority municipalities are still in effect.
The one at the T7 Pressing has expressed the risk that if Kosovo is found guilty of blocking the dialogue process then it could cause the collapse of Kosovo's alliance with the states that have made Kosovo a state.
“Association is one thing we have to do because we have not abolished the 2013 agreement or 2015. Legally this obligation remains, and why it has not been realised so far it is another matter”, he said.
He has added that Kurt's refusal not to postpone the decision on the license plates has caused association to emerge from the package of the final agreement.
“The issue of association has emerged from the general package and is required for the Association to be implemented prior to the big deal”, he stated.
Peci has added that Kosovo is in a delicate situation in terms of reports with the US.
We're in a delicate situation. We've seen some kind of warming of our reports to the United States after signing the energy deal, but after that the reports changed but we also have to understand that the United States of America doesn't want to trap it into conflicts where they don't want to be part of it”.
“If we are found guilty and Serbia is not found guilty on the Kosovo issue, I think Kosovo will lose its alliance with the states that have made us”, Peci has declared.
VV Dugolli: Forming one-ethnic association means war in a few years
Vetevendosje MP Enver Dugolli has said forming one-ethnic association means war in a few years.
Speaking to T7, Dugolli has suggested that in the event of establishing an association in Kosovo, it could look like Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Forming a single-ethnic association means preparing a war after a few years. Like it happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the formation of the association started the war there”, Dugolli said.
“It is the same scenario, it is the same methodology of working Serbia that tries to instrumentalise local Serbs to make obstacles in advancing a democratic society”, he has declared.
The Vetevendosje movement, which currently holds power, is strongly rejecting international insistence on establishing association for Serbian municipalities.
The Association Bill is published today by the Friedri organization. ch-Ebert-Stiftung, meanwhile, the US Embassy will hold tomorrow, January 31st, a meeting of institutions, oppositions and representatives of civil society organisations on the issue.
