Kosovo, Albania among countries where alcohol is at least consumed

Consumption of alcoholic beverages according to purchasing power in Albania was the equivalent of 19% of the European average, while Kosovo stands only less above Albania by 22%.

In the Western Balkan region, the most greedy are the Montenegrins and Serbs, while North Macedonia is listed behind them. Meanwhile, at similar levels with Albania is Bosnia and Herzegovina.

While consumption is low, the prices of alcoholic beverages in Albania are 122% of the European average, according to Eurostat signs, being a factor that can affect consumers' spending it. Alcohol beverages are the cheapest in Europe in northern Macedonia, with 81% of the European average and the most expensive in Sweden, with 219% of the European average.

nominally spending per capita on alcoholic beverages in Albania in 2021 was 86 euros, against 286 euros, which is the average European Union, according to Eurostat billboards.
