Aliu has been the first head of the club from Kosovo's capital following Kosovo's football independence from that former Yugoslav in 1991.
Its post was held from 1991 to 2001. Pristina, led by Becir Ali, listed successes in the parallel league as well. During this time, Pristina won three championship titles (1991/92, 1995/96, 1996/97), two Cups of the Republic of Kosovo (1993/94 and 1994/95) and two Supercups of Kosovo (1994/95 and 1995/96).
After the end of the war, Pristina continued its activity normally, and after eight years the expulsion returns to its stadium.
The successes continued as before by being declared champion in 1999/2,000.
Aliu left the club chairman's post in June 2001.
He was also a member of the first chairmanship of the Kosovo Football Federation in 1991.
