In the letter of resignation, which KOHA has seen, it is said to be due to circumstances created in the Academy and around it, and the inability of college and human co-operation with the leadership of the Academy.
She has clarified that she will continue her work at the Academy to make the academic and research contribution to the institution.
I held different positions with public and political weight during my lifetime. However, none of these drew near to the weight that bears the position of leading the highest academic institution in the country. I have been, I am, and will remain honoured for the work we have done together with colleagues like the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts”, said the letter of resignation.
Conflicts among academics were publicly featured in December last year, when Social Science Section reacted to President Mehmet Kraja's writing, “Serbia's destabilising goals in Kosovo and the Western Balkans”, which was published on the ASHAK site.
The section reacted against Kraja with claims that the “with its inadequacy approach, and especially with the publication of this non-sciential document, drawn up by him, as the chairman of a prestigious scientific, artistic and cultural institution, brings division with grave consequences for the Academy itself”.
