Five years from Ivanovic's murder, the dawn of the case is required

Family, close associates and citizens have lit candles today on the 5th anniversary of the assassination of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic, in front of the headquarters of the Civic Initiative “Leri, democracy, justice” in northern Mitrovica.

At the scene of the murder, the memorial event was held at 8:15, just when the murder took place five years earlier, which was organised by the family, while even such an event is expected to be held at 10: 00 a.m. that will be organised by the initiative he had led.

During this commemoration, Kosovo's, Serbia's, as well as the international community, were criticised for saying that even after five years, they have not done enough in clarifying the case.

Former Freedom of Civic Initiative “Liri, democracy, justice”, Oliver Ivanovic, was killed on 16 January 2018 with six bullets in front of the party headquarters in northern Mitrovica, while even after that time, the authors and the perpetrators of this crime remain unknown. / KP/
