Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has said on Sunday that relations with the United States of America are existential for Kosovo, not for the US.

Through a Facebook post, Hoti wrote that “we must all engage to maintain our permanent friendship with the US, which is Kosovo's main supporter”.

He has then written about the common values Kosovo and the US share.

A commitment to protecting individual and collective freedoms,

(2) The protection and advancement of democracy,

(3) Free printing and dynamic civil society that oversee power,

(4) A clear separation of executive and legislative powers from the judiciary and

(5) The free market economy and competition as the basis for individual and collective development and prosperity“, Hoti has declared.

The opposition is criticising Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti for violating reports with the US.
