Health Ministry: Dear citizens, boil the water

The MSH has recommended that safe resources or ambalized water be exploited, on the contrary the water before use must be deemed a measure of bacteriological safety.

Do not use boiling water.

Water prior to use should be regarded as a measure of bacterological security applicable in troubled situations added to resources to prevent the outbreak of hydric epidemics.

This water loss procedure is so simple and common but necessary to prevent epidemic eruptions.

As a result of the floods in most of our country, the situation of drinking water has been markedly difficult.

The government of the Republic of Kosovo has raised the level of readiness with all relevant institutions.

National Institute teams have raised alertness and water monitoring for drink.

All QRSHP in Kosovo are in a state of readiness with care teams without interrupting with human ecology specialists and epidemiology and monitoring the epidemiology situation.

Given that increased values of turbulence have been recorded in many sources, there are difficulties in water treatment in areas:

CRU “Pristina Pristina”-Pristina region: factory in Shkabaij and factory in Drenas.

Added turbulence on the Iber Lepenc Canal has undergone the water treatment process at FPU Shkaby and FPU Drenas. These two factories are out of place because of the inability of water processing technology processes. Due to reduced production capacity, retributions are being implemented in all of the KRU-Pristina service areas.

All samples tested in IKSHPK's labs are within the standard for drinking water under the No.10/21 human quality and consumption guidance.

CRU “Mitrovica”- Mitrovica region: the factory in Shipoli-Mitrovica and the factory in Balica-Nushrria.

From yesterday's 19,01,2023 FPU Balice/Vushtri and FPU in Shipol/Mitrovica has cut off supply in Mitrovica and Skenderaj due to increased turbulence in unexploited water.

It is expected in the afternoon to start treatment with reduced capacity.

In the samples collected until yesterday, physical-chemical lab analysis results in high value of turbulence that exceeds the standard allowed values. By the preliminary results of yesterday's bacterological samples, they're in the replanting and the final results coming to an end tomorrow.

CRU “Hirdrodrin”-Peja region: Drini White údac source and Shkoza source, Unik.

Thunder continues to be present at the Drini of White-Radavc Source and the Shkoze-Ynik source.

And because of the flows and leaks in the springs, water supply has been cut off from the Jarina source Kline, and now the supply is made only from the water factory in Kline. Water supply from the water source has also been cut off CDF-Decan.

All samples tested in the QRSHP labs, Peja, are within the standard for drinking water according to Administrative Guide No.10/21 for human quality and consumption.

CRU “Gjakove”- Gjakova region: source in Demjan and Gerqia.

In the supply areas of KRU”Gjakova” the quality of the drinking water is calm, all the samples analyzed are within the preset standards for drinking water.

In the supply areas of the sources of Death and Drown, water is not for drink due to increased values of turbulence

CRU “Bifurcacion”- Ferizaj region: factories in Plesina and the system in Kacanik.

All water samples taken yesterday and today in Ferizaj and Kacanik are within the standard for drinking water.

Water in distribution networks from increased system of turbulence is not within the pre-standard nor is it recommended to drink.

IKSHPK/water Centre recommends and appeals to citizens who:

IK KPS / Water Centre recommends all Regional Water Enterprises (KRU) with the aim of stabilising supply:

Use/exploitation of intact resources

Autobot/cisterna supply with drinking water

Reforming and Unlocking wells

Upgrade damage to distribution network

Attention added to treatment and disinfectation process

The interaction of IKPK/QU and CRUs with state institutions is in contact to calm the situation.

National Institute teams are on alert and continue on regular and available monitoring with all capacities to maintain the stable situation, and for any deterioration of the epidemiological situation, you will be informed in real time. /Periksopi/
