Linder has said Germany has fully diversifyed its energy infrastructure since Russia's war in Ukraine began last year.
After the start of the war, Russia has halted gas supplies to Europe, raising Europeans' concerns about power cuts this winter.
But Germany has found new energy sources, Lindner has said.
“Yes, of course, Germany is still dependent on energy imports, but today, not Russian imports, but on global markets”, he has said.
In the past, Germany has imported half of the gas it needs from Russia, as well as more than a third of the oil.
Russia has halted gas supplies in August last year, until Germany has abandoned Russian oil imports earlier this year.
In the race to find energy sources, Germany has reopened coal-fired thermal power plants, has not closed nuclear power plants, and has pushed forward ideas for natural gas storage imported by Norway and the United States. / REL
