German journalist: Franco-German proposal is not serious.

“Francurter Algemeine Zeitung”, Michael Martens, is sceptical of reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, saying there is no motivation, but there is no reward for Belgrade and Pristina if they reach agreement. Martens, for“Noova”, has said he sees no serious motivation either for Serbian President Vuciqi or for Prime Minister Kurti to take a serious step forward.

“I think that the whole German-French proposal is not very serious, because I see no motive that neither Serbia nor Kosovo agree with. You can talk, negotiate and have meetings, but I don't see what the outcome will be, because the main result and goal the EU promises is that there is no EU membership either for Serbia or for Kosovo, and if that doesn't exist, then I don't know what Western politicians expect. I don't see any serious motivation for Vuciqi or Kurti to take a serious step before”, Martens said.
He also stresses that he does not see what pressure the EU may currently have on Kosovo or Serbia.
I'm not sure there will be sanctions. There is no such thing against Dodik, why would there be against Vuciki? The more they now think Kurt is to blame for his lack of results. I'm not sure there will be any results, either in a positive way or in a negative way. We're just wasting time”, Martens says.
The journalist stresses that you do not see what the rewards would be for Belgrade and Pristina if they reached an agreement, but that it would be good if there was some kind of reward.
If you want a politician to compromise, you have to give him something. And I don't see that, they came to Pristina and Belgrade empty-handed. Neither Vuciq nor Kurti will tell you openly you have nothing and I will not agree with your idea, because it wouldn't be too smart”, Martens concluded. /Telegraph
