At the American Embassy in Pristina on 31 January, discussions begin on the formation of the majority Serb municipalities in Kosovo. And, Prime Minister Albin Kurti says he's not invited there. He believes this meeting followed a statement by Escobar emissary, who said that association is formed, even if Kurt refuses.

So, I believe this meeting is a consequence of the American State Department official's insistence, who is also a special emissary for the Balkans and who has declared that, despite Kosovo's prime minister, the association should become”, Kurti said in an interview for Radio Free Europe.

The prime minister seems disappointed by Escobar, except for the Association, given what he has said in Belgrade during an official visit. Kurti says he has expected the US diplomat to seek Kosovo recognition in Serbia.

“I have expected that he in Belgrade will declare that, regardless of Serbia's president, Serbia should recognise Kosovo rather than in Pristina to say, regardless of Kosovo's prime minister, the association must be httpx1>, Kurti has said.
