The European Union in Kosovo through a post said former President Rugova will be remembered as a promoter of peace in achieving political goals.
“Dr. Ibrahim Rugova will always be remembered as a promoter of peaceful and non-violent approach to achieving political goals, which is very necessary these days. His legacy lives. May he rest in peace”
With the European delegation present was US Ambassador Jeff Havenier, as well as German Jorne Rohde.
In honour of his memory and heritage, under the auspices of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, today the crowning ceremony was organised.
Local Prime Minister Albin Kurti also participated in the homazhe.
Former President Ibahim Rugova has passed away on January 21st, 2006.
