Kurti lists the factors he said had influenced the frequency and relief of floods.
He said the investigation into illegal actions should also be made at the expense of the ecosystem.
The damage is huge, and the risk is not over. Fortunately, the consequences are only material. As Government, we have been in the flood zone and have been exiled to provide immediate support. National and local roads unblocked. Court beds, blankets, toilet packets and food have been provided, according to municipal cocres. Now we have to deal with the cause of the flood rate. The damage to banks and riverbeds from the wild explosion of waste, waste disposal in rivers, illegal logging of forests, and a lack of foresting, inadequate sewage and irrigation system, inadequate planning of public infrastructure, and climate change have facilitated floods. There's also an investigation into illegal actions at the expense of the ecosystem. It is not enough to recover unless we learn lessons. It's not enough overcoming the situation if it repeats itself. The affected municipalities, businesses, and families will always be around”, Kurt said at today's Government Meeting.
Among the most affected municipalities last week in Kosovo are Skenderaj, Mitrovica, Kline, Istog and Podujevo.
