The head of Scytheright, Fadil Nura, has spoken about the current situation ruling in the municipality leading him.
In a statement given to EuroNews, Nura has added that the situation has calmed down slightly, compared to the previous days, but that the damages are significant.
In fact, as he says, these damages have seized high monetary figures, exceeding 10 million.
In addition, he confirmed the fact that he has accepted aid from Prime Minister Rama and Mayor Veliaj, but has also asked Kosovo institutions to do so.
The risks occurred at the moment, yesterday and today they've stopped fortunately. The situation has stabilised, but the damage is enormous and we're working on their sanim. Mostly there are 10 villages that have been hit, including the city, and public infrastructure has been damaged. 11 ruined bridges, roads, family economies, businesses, agricultural economies, minimum 10m euros in damages to total”, he said initially.
Nura also did not hesitate to seek help from fellow countrymen, adding that the goal remains the amount of damage in the shorter term.
I also expect the help of fellow countrymen to collect additional funds, to save these losses in the short term. The opening of the fund will be an additional opportunity to repair the entire mess soon. The main responsibility is to the Government. Considering the damage is huge, we've opened another fund. We expect to be operational of this”.
