Some 93 percent of respondents said that they are concerned about the increase in the cost of living, with 46 percent saying that their standard of living has already decreased, and 39 percent expect to be affected by it in the future.
A total of 45 percent said there are actually some, or major difficulties in life with household income.
In December, Eurozone inflation reached 9.2 per cent, European Union statistical agency Eurostat reported.
Other major problems for EU citizens are poverty and social exclusion (82 percent), climate change (81 percent), the expansion of war in Ukraine (81 percent), and the risk of a nuclear incident (74 percent).
Those surveyed said they were largely unhappy with what the EU and national governments had done to resolve the crisis.
A total of 64 per cent said they were not satisfied with their national government's response and 56 per cent with EU-level measures.
However, seven out of 10 Europeans approve of the EU's financial, military and economic support for Ukraine.
Study results are based on more than 26,000 interviews conducted in October and November on 27 EU member states
