They discussed Turkish-Russian relations, particularly about energy, as well as regional issues, about the war in Ukraine and Syria, the Turkish president's press service announced.
In the conversation, Erdogan noted that negotiations on the war in Ukraine brought positive results, such as the initiative to create a wheat corridor, exchange of prisoners, and create a secure zone around Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
The Turkish president has said that calls for peace and negotiations should be backed by a unilateral ceasefire and a “vision of a just resolution”.
As for energy issues, Erdogan has said that the Russian Federation and Turkey have strengthened and continue to strengthen the infrastructure for the creation of a natural gas centre in Turkey and said they are committed to finalising the guide and taking concrete steps to implement this project as soon as possible.
