Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ivica Dacic, said Turkey's president, Rexhep Tayip Erdogan, has promised at today's meeting that Ankara will stress Kosovo that it is necessary to respect previously signed agreements.
Daciq stressed that it is not realistic to expect Turkey to change its position on Kosovo's status, but that it is important that Serbia preserve peace and avoid incidents, Tanjug writes.
“Erdogan in all talks he will have with Pristina, as well as all Turkish officials, will stress that it is necessary to respect all agreements, that dialogue and the preservation of peace should be respected. For us, it is enough for someone to exercise such influence so that people in Pristina do not enjoy support for obstructing peace agreements and not threaten peace and stability in the region”, Dacic stressed.
