Croatian media also report Martin Berisha's scandal

The Croatian picture “Index.hr“, among the most read in Croatia, has reported on Wednesday the financial scandal in Slovenia involving Kosovo's ambassador to Zagreb, Martin Berisha, who allegedly accepted 600 thousand euros from the Slovenian energy company GEN-I, the branch in Belgrade. In an interview for AP, media reporter [...]
In an interview for The AP, columnist from online media Prava, Luka Persh, said the information is that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, have received money from Martin Berisha for their latest election campaign.
In his research, he found that not thousands, not hundreds of thousands, but millions of euros in a scheme of this company, which using its branches across the Balkans, mainly Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania, has distributed money. Within the scheme and as a peripheral player was Martin Berishaaj.
In part of his writing, Persh writes that a certain amount of money from what Berishaaj received ended up in an electoral campaign in Kosovo, exactly at the Vetevendosje Movement and the Guso List.
Asked by Albanian Post, Persch stated that these are currently on the level of information, but his interest in the subject has little to do with what Berishaj has done, but what Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob did, which he said is the head of this Balkan financial scheme.
What did the Slovenian newspaper Prava publish?
Slovenian media Prava has published recent data on suspicious transactions, and it is found to be about 100m euros sent from GEN-I to Slovenia as a central company in various branches and branches, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania. Prava writes that they have provided access to what they refer to as “the controversial creative abstract stability of the biggest electricity retailer GEN-I”.
“We unwittingly made aware of GEN-I transactions in foreign filters in Sarajevo (BiH), Tirana (Albania) and Belgrade (Serbia)”, the medium writes.
We have noted that in 2015-2021, nearly 100m euros have been transferred to their three foreign branches. Of these, 60m euros have been transferred to Bosnia and Herzegovina to pay for the implementation of the bill financing banking operation. In Albania, they have probably covered the loss of the Albanian subsidiary with a double financial operation conducted in 2021”.
That's why they spent 14m euros! Finally, we come to GEN-I Belgrade”.
In 2019 and 2020 GEN-I has made several transfers worth several million euros for the purposes of operating the bill financing bank at its branch in Belgrade, the Slovenian media's writing said.
The media connects between remitting money from GEN-I to Slovenia to subsidiarys in Belgrade and then payments from Beogard directly to Martin Berisha's company MB Consulting.
“is especially important to look at dates. As you noted in the above data, all transactions from the Slovenian GEN to the Serbian subsidiary in Belgrade have come in 2019. From January 2019 to September 2020, Martin Berishaaj has made several tea withdrawals of 600 thousand euros from his company's account MB Consulting”.
“Over this period, Slovenian company GEN-I has transferred 4m 183m of 834 euros through transactions with financial derivatives under the financing label Fura possibly from January to December 2019. Very likely, part of Martin Berisha's withdrawed money came through Slovenian remittances during this period”.
The Prava media has also made a link between GEN-I transactions and the Vetevendosje Movement campaign, but only on the plains of assumption and without any concrete information.
There have been several suggestions and information that money has been transferred from one of the GEN-I branches abroad for the election campaign of Kosovo's current prime minister, Albin Kurti, and that some of the money has gone to a non-government organisation”, the Prava text says.
