Citaku: Ambassador Berishaaj fired, reports of connection with the energy mafia confirm his connection to Prime Minister Kurti

Deputy Mayor Citaku has said it is Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who is becoming an obstacle to opening the way for responsibility and truth.

The “Behind Ambassador Berishaaj is a much deeper link to power with the energy mafia of the countries of the region. Martin Berisha is a friend of Prime Minister Kurti, appointed ambassador by Prime Minister Kurti and in the face of this scandal, taken in direct protection from Prime Minister Kurti. But, despite the government's trying at any cost to house this relative, the scandal is deepening over and over again and has taken the path towards revealing the most disturbing facts, which not only exceed the issues of diplomatic and personal integrity, or even criminal prosecution, which today lie down to Prime Minister Albin Kurti's office and implicate Kosovo's own state”, Citaku has said.

Deputy Mayor Citaku has called for this relation to be made white to the end, so that Kosovo's image as a state is not further damaged.

We're asking law enforcement agencies to do their investigative work as well as the responsible institutions that Mr. Berishaj, immediately dismiss him from Ambassador”'s post, Citaku has said.

She said that since early April 2022, Kurti Government has been trying to house the scandal.

“Since early April 2022, throughout the entire 2022, as well as currently, Kurti Government has been trying to accommodate one of the most profound and larger scandals and relatives whose protagonists as a party find the energy mafia of the Balkan countries, as well as an ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, Martin Berisha, friend of Prime Minister Kurti, appointed ambassador by Prime Minister Kurti and in the face of this scandal, received in direct protection from Prime Minister Kur<1>, she said.

Citaku recalled that the media reported yesterday on other actual data evidence the GEN company has submitted to Ambassador Berishaj 1m of 470 thousand euros, values he has not reported to the commission.

“Day, Kosovo media reported more actual information about Mr. Berisha with GENENN, of which Mr. Berishajaj has not been sincere during his presentation to the Baltimore Commission. According to these records, in Mr. Berishaj, GEN company has dropped less than 1 million and 470 thousand euros, worth which, Mr. Berishaaj has not reported them to the commission. She added that such an affair harms Kosovo's image in foreign policy.
