Chollet has indicated that with Kurti she has discussed the European Union's proposal for normalising relations with Serbia, known as the Franco-German proposal.
He has said that Kurti has asked Kosovo to accept this proposal.
“Comunojkova with Prime Minister Albin Kurti to discuss EU proposal for normalisation of relations with Serbia, and to encourage Kosovo to accept it”, it has written Choose on Twitter.
Chollet has written that one of the main topics discussed was Kosovo's partnership with the US and the common goal of advancing European and Euro-Atlantic integrations for Kosovo.
In an interview with the Croatian medium HTR during yesterday, US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar has said Kosovo is worried about this proposal.
They have their worries. I think we still have work to do, but I think we'll achieve the goal. Kosovo has full US support, is a good partner, and I have no doubt about it. I think we're going to get what we want”, Escobar said.
So far, Kosovo institutions have shared little information on the differences it might have with this proposal. Furthermore, Kurti has stated that this proposal is a good basis for starting discussions with Serbia.
