US, China agree to boost bilateral co-operation

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen agreed with Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Liu He during their meeting that lasted two and a half hours in Zurich to boost co-operation on macroeconomic and financial issues, the US Treasury Department said in a statement.
The ministry said the meeting was the sincere, meaningful and constructive”.
The two sides agreed to boost co-operation for financing climate change on bilateral and multilateral grounds, both within the United Nations framework, the G20 Group of advanced and emerging Asian Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC).
He added that Yellen is expected to visit China soon.
Liu said the two countries should have “serious communication” and co-ordination for issues including climate change and the economy.
