MP and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson have visited Ukraine. He has come up with a statement explaining his visit to the country where he has been fighting for about a year, writes Sky News.

He says: It is a privilege to visit Ukraine at the invitation of President Zelensky. The sufferings of Ukraine's people have continued for a long time. The only way to end this war is for Ukraine to win and win as soon as possible.

This is the moment to double and give the Ukrainians all the tools they need to finish the job. The sooner Putin fails, the better for Ukraine and the whole world. ”

A spokesman said they would not comment on any specific travel specifics for security reasons, and said Johnson fully supports the United Kingdom government's policy for Ukraine, including the recent decision to send Chanlenger tanks.
