The “regarding today's fire that has engulfed one of the facilities in the Istog KSF, we are informing you that immediately members of the 2nd Infantry Regiment and the relevant staff of the Earth Forces Command, which supported by the Istog Fire Unit, Kline, Pec and Sushires, have managed to locate fire by restricting only within the perimeter of this monsage object, thus disposing the possibility of disseminating at other objects around the country's entry of the Kosovo Ministry of Defence.
The ministry has announced that, in advance, personnel have been evacuated in time.
Now the fire has been completely extinguished and the specialised KSF teams are working on sancing the situation and eliminating other collateral damage.
The “cause and the consequences of the fire are being investigated by authorities responsible for managing KSF security, but are allegedly due to the outdated installation of electricity”, the report says.
