After the accused Azem pleaded not guilty, the judge in the case of Sabit Sadij informed him of the right that within the 30-day term, I could file a request for opposition to evidence and drop the indictment.
According to Judge Sadikuj, regarding the eventual demands will be decided out of session, and the second review on this criminal case will not be held.
Also, Judge Sadij has said that unless such objections are presented within that deadline, the court will consider that the parties have given up for objections and judicial review will be scheduled.
According to the indictment filed on September 2nd 2020 by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, Osman Azemi is accused of unauthorized possession of narcotics substances.
According to the indictment, on August 3, 2019, on the “Major route Mehmet Bushi”, in Pristina, deliberately and without authorisation of the competent state body, it was found in the possession of narcotics substances and on the critical day of the incident, his wife had found a small bag of cocaine-type narcotics, with a total weight of 0.4 grams, which she had then delivered to the police.
In this regard, Azem is accused of committing unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotropic and analogue”, by Article 269 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code, the work punishable by fine or prison for up to a year.
