25 people have sought medical treatment at the Emergency Clinic as a result of injuries received from the pyrotechnics to celebrate the 2023 New Year. And last night there were three citizens who were shot blind.
Even today, however, the University Clinical Centre's emergency has continued to seek medical treatment for citizens who have been hurt by the use of pyrotechnics.

Emergency Clinic Director near KKUK, Naser Syla, says that only during yesterday's 271 patients sought medical services.

He said that of the 25 injured by pyrotechnics, two have continued treatment at the Plastic Clinic because of their serious condition, while others have been released home.

While of the three people shot blind, two have continued treatment at the Orthopedic Clinic, and one has been released.

We've been too busy for 24 hours of treatment to require 271 patients... We've had about 23 communications matches, unfortunately one was fatal. However, the most sensitive part of the defacto during the holidays in our country is the perotechnic injuries we have after 25 cases only during the night of the new year, two of them have been in the worst condition ever admitted to the Plastic Surgery Clinic, others have been treated at the Emergency Center and have returned to the house for continued treatment. Then, we had three people wounded with blind bullets, two of them admitted to Orthopedic, and one after the treatment was released at home to continue further treatment... Today, between 8: 00 p.m. and noon, it's very important that they're not children but that they're adults, which means they're not only children who use them, but also adults”, Syla stressed.

Emergency Clinic Director 2022 describes it as a year in charge of patients, saying that over 92 thousand patients received treatment during the following year.

Syla says that unnecessary references are the challenge for this clinic.

During 2022, it has been an extremely high flow of patients who have sought help and treatment at the Emergency Center, somewhere we have more than 92 thousand patients who have sought help in this centre, with a space that we all know of 507 square meters, it's been a very busy year, a year too full of various cases... 03883 The main challenge has been the very high number of patients, their reference with reason and without reason at the Emergency Centre, should be mentioned that 40-45% of this whole number has not been patients who had to refer to the Emergency Centre and be treated at the Emergency Centre, Filtering and reference of patients has not been satisfactory”, the Emergency Director said.

Both the health sector and the Emergency Clinic near KKUK, Syla points to the lack of emergency doctors and anesthesiologists.

“We have a shortage of doctors especially are two profiles of doctors who are most absent in Kosovo, are emergency doctors and are doctors in anesthesiology. These other ones are the necessary number as the technicians of other supportive workers”, he said.
