Prosecutor Caesar Michalzuk of the Specialised Proquisitor's office said they seek 10 years in prison for the arbitrary ban's charge, 20 years in prison for cruel treatment, 25 years in prison for torture and 33 years in prison for murder.
“Rule 164 requires the panel to issue single sentences to reflect the whole of the accused's criminal behaviour, depends on the panel to condemn the accused according to the sentences predicted or with higher sentences than the one presented in connection with any particular point. For this reason, the ZPS wants to be sentenced to 35 years in prison”, Michaczuk said.
Parasely, prosecutor Jack Smith said the “facts leave no doubt that he is guilty of”.
I request that you declare the accused guilty of the crimes charged and give him the recommended sentence, because this is the right and proper way for the crimes he has committed to”, Smith said.
Prosecutors are presenting their concluding word today in this case, while on Wednesday, September 14, the protection of Mustaf and the victim's representative will say their final word.
On Thursday 15 September, the parties will exchange additional arguments.
